The meeting is arranged in connection of the South Saami Culture festival and the Saami litterature prise for year 2006 is announced and presented to the winner September 29th.

The meeting starts on September 29th at 4 p.m. and will be concluded October 1st at 1 p.m. (please note: local timezone). The event  takes place in Quality Hotel & Resort Røros, Røros/Plassje. Saami Council has the tradition to arrange its meetings and conferences turn by turn in the countries that Saami reside. After this meeting the next plenary session is held on Finnish side in Njellim.
