Karin Nutti Pilflykt from Váhčir/Gällivare is hired to work with forest issues

The Saami Council has hired Karin Nutti Pilflykt as a co-worker for the EU unit where she will be working mainly with forest issues. Nutti Pilflykt holds a Degree of Bachelor of Science with a major in Forest Science and a master's in Land Use and Environmental Law. She is also currently pursuing a master’s degree in Forestry, where she writes about the distribution of terrestrial lichens and silviculture issues.
“I am raised in a reindeer herding district on the Swedish side of Sápmi, Sirges. Nature management and land rights have always been an important part of my life. I look forward to working on these issues in the Saami council”, says Nutti Pilflykt.
