Sámi Youth EU Webinar
The EU-Sámi Youth Idea Lab invites all Sámi youth to join us in a webinar about Sámi youth participation in EU initiatives and decision-making
Over the last months, EU Sámi Youth Lab have been brainstorming and drafting a recommendation document on how to increase Sámi youth participation in EU initiatives and decision-making. The project is a part of the Saami Council’s AWARE-project funded by the European Union. The group has already written several problem statements and solution proposals on their own but would like to have further input from other young sámi so that their voices may be heard and taken into account as well!
The webinar provides a platform for discussion and exchange of ideas on the current state of Sámi youth's participation in the EU and the potential ways in which the EU can support and enhance sámi youth involvement. The EU-Sámi Youth Idea Lab’s core group will give a introduction to their work, and and participants will get the opportunity to discuss and give feedback in groups. There will also be a quiz and prizes. Welcome!
