Sámi advocacy and diplomacy course

Filling the EU-Sápmi knowledge gaps project and Sámi allaskuvla invites to a two-day course on Sámi advocacy and diplomacy in Guovdageaidnu.

Sámi advocacy and diplomacy course includes lectures, discussions and practical activities, which will make you more prepared to represent Sápmi in international arenas.

The course lecturers have experience in international work at the EU, UN, Arctic Council, Saami Council and the Sámi parliaments.

There will be a reception in the evening where you will get to know the other participants better, practice your small-talk skills through fun tasks and enjoy a three-course dinner!

Dates: May 11.-12., 2022

Time (CEST): Wednesday 11.30-21.00 - Thursday 09.00-16.00

Location: Diehtosiida, Guovdageaidnu

Languages: Northern Sámi and English. Interpretation will be provided.

Course fee: The course is free of charge. We can cover travel and accommodation costs.
