Piera Heaika is the communications advisor of the Saami Council. Muotka holds a BA in graphic design at the Westerdals Institute for Communication and Design at Kristiania University College. Muotka is originally from the sea sami community of Unjárga (Nesseby) in eastern Finnmark, but he also has roots from Skánit (Skånland). Muotka is actively involved in arctic and indigenous policymaking – first and foremost through his position as a Member of the Sami Parliament in Norway.
