Are you looking for international work experience on EU issues? Then this is certainly an opportunity you don’t want to miss!

The Saami Council and the Suoma Sámi Nuorat are recruiting three trainees to work in 100% positions within the Interreg project “Filling the EU-Sápmi knowledge gaps”. One candidate will be selected from each country (Norway, Sweden, and Finland). The workplace will be in one of the Saami Council’s offices.

– As a part of our Interreg project, the Saami Council together with the Suoma Sámi Nuorat is now looking for eager candidates for our trainee program, says Niila Inga, project leader for “Filling the EU-Sápmi knowledge gaps”

Each intern will be assigned a mentor from one of the Saami Council’s units. The mentor will guide the intern through the specific assignments within their units but also the Saami Council’s work in general.

– The Saami Council advocates for the Sámi people in various EU institutions and for Sámi issues in general both on an international and a national level. The trainee program aims to foster young Sámi diplomats by providing international work experience in one of the world’s oldest indigenous organizations, says Inga.
