The environment is changing in Sápmi. We are facing the threats of climate change, and the industrialization of our land. Now we want to see what your concerns are.

Saami Council launches a photo competition on environmental concerns for youth! Please share your observations and concerns - small or big - with us by participating.

Our target group in this competition is youth between the ages of 13-33.

Participate by sharing a photo or photos of environmental issues in Sápmi that the Saami Council can use in the future. The best 10 pictures will be awarded with cool prizes from Sámi duojárs. More information about the prizes will come!

NEW! Deadline for participation: June 13th, 2021

Participate and upload the photo(s) with the form below.

Examples of environmental issues in Sápmi:

  • Land fragmentation

  • Deforestation

  • Windmills

  • Trash in nature

  • Pollution

  • Biodiversity loss

  • Climate change

Or any other environmental issues that are not mentioned here, as long as you provide a short explanation of your photo!

Terms and conditions:

  • Photos must not show people’s faces, or include the name of the photographer, agency, or publication, or any other information.

  • The photographer must consent that the Saami Council can use the picture freely after the competition is finished.
