We originally tried to organise this webinar in 2023, but finally it’s happening. The event is part of the previous project EU–Sámi Youth Idea Lab, funded by the European Union.
In 2022, a small group of Sámi youth worked together to identify key challenges and draft recommendations on how to strengthen Sámi youth participation in EU processes. They’ve written several problem statements and proposals — but now we are reaching out for broader input from Sámi youth. This webinar is a chance for Sámi youth to contribute ideas and share views on how EU initiatives could better reflect their experiences and needs. These contributions will be directly used in the Saami Council’s continued work with the European Union.
